I have been struggling to find a gel//cream/mousse etc. for my fine, curly hair, but which has been straightened with keratin straightening treatment for many years. Other gels are too hard/crispy, mousses too hard also (or soft), creams make it flat. Bounce Curl has worked the best, as it is quite light, yet gives a good hold. It is also about trying different drying techniques, but generally I was very relieved and happy to find this worked so well, and better than others I have tried.
I love this gel! It’s gives amazing definition without weighing down my 2c/3a curls. It pairs well with so many other styling products. It’s a curly girl must have
Great product for curly hair, formed lovely curls. Very gentle on hair as well - impressed!
I liked this when I tried it on my hair when it was long but now that I've cut loads of length off this is perfect.
It's light so don't expect a cast but it's perfect for refreshing ( a small amount emulsified with water smoothed and scrunched) and it gives great shine.
Not so great on humid days but can be paired well with some stronger hold gels.
Great hold and moisture!
Absolutely love this product. I have a variety of 3s, quite long hair and this is a staple styler in my wash days. Whilst it's not quite strong enough to hold the weight of my curls, it is in every styling mix. Keeps my curls soft, shiny and hydrated- am a big fan! Smells divine. I think it would be fab for any hairtype. Especially love this in combo with the ecoslay orange marmalade - dream team right there.
This is a brilliant gel, never leaves my hair feeling weighed down- love that it doesnt have glycerin. I love that the ingredients arent scary and I love the citrus lavender fragrance- It smells of lavender essential oils with a hint of orange to me- but if you arent a fan of lavender go unscented or with Island Fantascy.
This is my holy grail gel and I’ve tried lots since starting the wavy hair journey.
Frizz free defined waves and curls that really last in all weathers. (My hair really dosnt like glycerin) Am buying the jumbo size next!
Best protein free gel I've tried! So easy to use, fab scent, and incredible hold!!! Love that it doesn't have glycerin too!!
Good product but definitely needs to be used along with another styling product to hold the curl, day 2 curls not great with it.
It's one of the best gels i have ever tried. It creates a nice cast and it's not flaky
This gel has a really good strong hold but the secret is to emulsify it with a bit of water in your hands before applying it to your hair.
It does dry crunchy but is easy to scrunch out.
I'd heard people rave about this product, but my curly, fine hair is very fussy with gels so I only bought the mini version. It smells lovely but has a very sticky consistency, similar to the Shockwaves Tuff Stuff gel, and doesn't work great for me. I have tried using a small amount with a curl cream and that seems better, but I'm not sold yet. May be better for people with thicker hair than me, as the curls wouldn't be so weighed down.
This product smells wonderful and is great for clumping, but if you have coarse, frizzy, high porosity 2C-3B hair like mine (and live in a humid area) you'll need a hard hold gel on top.
I used the gel after the blueberry bliss leave in .. i like that my curls clump together more with this product and it feels so soft and natural, but it doesnt give me the best definition.
Just perfect for my curls
This product smelt amazing, and was the perfect consistency to easily distribute through my 3C hair. It really helps hold the curls without having it bounce up too much and loosing length!
Doesn’t make your hair crunchy or hard at all!
I've just started using this gel and I find it very good for my thick hair. I was worried as it's a gel. But I find it really good and doesnt Male your hair hard and crispy.
Didn't get product yet
I have thick, curly hair. I had high expectations for this gel, but not only did it not meet what it said it does on the product, it also left my hair feeling very dry. I had suspected this from other reviews so I first added a Shea Moisture leave in conditioner but it still sucked the last drop of moisture from my hair. the good news is it is not sticky and it does not leave your hair feeling crunchy. however, it is not worth putting on your precious hair and definitely not worth the price, and will not buy again.
I've tried quite a few gels now in the hope of finding one that works - and this is THE one. I tried bounce curl, eco styler, another one which was so unmemorable I can't even remember the name. I don't need to use a lot of this gel to get great hold, it's not sticky and I love the way it reactivates with just water on day 2 and 3 curls. I don't need to add any more, so my hair never feels overloaded or sticky. I use it on top of a mousse, and don't have any problems. Will be buying again and again and again!
I am not a
Liked the hold it gave and has actually helped moisture stay locked in! Only criticism is that it says there’s no crispness when there blatantly is but nothing that can’t be scrunched out with a little oil
Fantastic customer service
I was recommended this after my first curly cut and thought it was a bit expensive. I have tried so many other gels since but have come back to this one. Nothing else works in my hair as well, it helps my curls bounce and holds them for 3days! Worth every penny
Not for me my hair was so dry after and frizzy , sad bcs this product is not the cheapest
I’m still learning the best way to use it on my hair, I apply it on soaking wet hair but I don’t know if my hair is so hydrated that it does have a hard hold for me
I’ve been using InnerSense products for about the last 8 months and during that time I’ve seen a great improvement to my fine, but lots of it, 2b/3c Hair. I find the gel a tad heavy for my hair type though but I still use it as I don’t get along with any mousse I’ve ever tried, even the excellent InnerSense mousse. I’m using InnerSense shampoo, conditioning and styling products currently, because they really are helping my hair as it continues it’s recovery process from a keratin treatment last August (Boy do I Regret that!!). I’d highly recommend giving innerSense a try.. The products smell lovely too!
This is by far the best gel I've tried and I've tried quite a few. I use it on its own topped with a bit of oil and then blow dry and my curls turn out great. They last a few days and hold up well in humidity (NO GLYCERIN!) I love it so much I bought the 32oz bottle.
I have very fine low porosity wavy curly hair (2b-3b). I really like this styler, it is very light weight and curl enhancing. I spray it directly on to my hair, with my fine low density hair it distributes through my hair well but I think if you have more hair this will not be so effective. I would like this product to have more hold as I do put a hard hold gel over the top to give me multi day hair.
It says to spray straight onto the hair, but I find it easier spraying a good amount into my hands and then running it through my locks. I leave my fine curls to dry naturally and scrunch them out afterwards.
This is a good product and I got definition on my fine 4a/b textured hair but I needed to pair with a moisturising butter.
Great hold and shine, full of nourishing ingredients. Pairs well with My Soigne cream and most leave-ins I tried so far. Good for quick refreshes too, I'll definitely buy this again.
Unfortunately this gel caused breakage and frizz on my hair
I like this gel. It gives me a great cast but leaves my hair lovely and soft after I sotc. However could do with a bit more hold on by 2A/b waves 💗
I really like this line and the gel is one of my favourites. It’s very light and apparently textured a bit like flax seed gel. You may need to layer it if you prefer stronger hold though. I actually love to use it as a refresh by adding some in my hand and emulsifying with water. It smells nice too. Really nice product.
This made my protein overload worse! I was gutted, was 4 weeks into my protein free regime and used this and bang!!! Back to Protein overload square 1. Strangest thing as from what I can tell there are not protein ingredients in it (unless I’ve completely missed something). People get confused with aloe Vera being a protein, it’s not but there is speculation that it can make protein overload worse for some people. I am unfortunately one of those people. this product was the only thing I changed so it can’t be anything else. I bought this thinking it would be great for hydrating so it’s worth reading more into the ingredients if you suffer from protein overload.
Camille Rose Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel 8oz
It is a fantastic product, after washing my hair it can not take more than two days to return to washing, with this product I can delay a little more the next wash, I have a hair between type 3c to 4a. It smells good, it glides well, it's creamy and I don't have to use more products, just this one
Not a bad product at all, but in my thick 3b ringlets doesn't make its definition job. Works great to tame edges, though!
Very sweet and persistent perfume, so be careful!
I have heard good things about this product and for the price I really thought that I was about to be amazed, it did slick my edges down with great shine and it smells amazing but unfortunately the hold was weak for a product named "control paste" I expected better.
Delivery was fast though, came a lot sooner than I expected.
Gel is not very hard, gives a minimal cast, but my curls seem more defined and less frizzy with this affordable gel.
