Cassia Obovata (also known as neutral henna or senna) is a natural ayurvedic herb.

This ayurvedic herb will leave your hair glossy, stronger, thicker, dandruff-free, and healthy. Cassia obovata gives you all the benefits of henna without color results on dark hair tones. For those with light shades of hair such as blond, strawberry blond or grey hairs the cassia will color your hair and give you the perfect uplift to your natural hair tone.

There are many hair tones you can achieve when using cassia obovata such as:

• golden blond
• strawberry blond (along with henna)
• copper (along with henna)

Our Cassia Obovata powder comes inside an inner foil resealable pouch. This is the best packaging possible to maintain freshness.

*please do note, that there is no guarantee that the organic cassia will pull golden tones for every person's hair. It's a 50/50 chance it could work for your hair. It can be tough for greys. This treatment is only semi-permanent and only lasts 2-3 weeks.

Directions: 

When using any new hair product it’s always recommended that you do a hair strand tests or a skin patch test first. Even natural products can cause allergic reactions. Test before use.

Important: Please keep in mind that your hair is as individual and unique as you are. Henna and Ayurvedic treatments can be drying for some. It’s recommended that you add our aloe vera powder or one of our hair oils to your recipe and/or deep condition your hair afterwards. We recommend that all of our clients try varying recipes based on their individual hair needs and focus. Use the recipe that works best for your hair!

Total amount of powder you should use:
Above ear length: 50-75 grams
Shoulder length: 100-125 grams
Bra strap or mid-back length: 150-175 grams Lower back length (above hips): 200 to 225 grams Hip/Waist length: 250 to 300 grams

Using our Organic Cassia Obovata

For hair conditioning treatment:
1. Mix powder with warm or hot water and let sit for 15-30 minutes. Make sure your mixture is like pancake batter.
2. Apply the cassia paste onto clean hair that is either dry or damp. Apply mixture in layers (and sections) starting from the front and moving towards the back.
3. Wrap your hair and allow cassia to stay in hair 30-60 minutes.
4. Rinse, shampoo or co-wash the paste out, according to what works best for your hair.

For golden tones (on grey or light hair tones):
1. Mix powder with warm or hot water (or chamomile tea) and let sit for 3-4 hours. Make sure your mixture is like pancake batter.
2. Apply the cassia paste onto clean hair that is either damp or dry. Apply mixture in layers (and sections) starting from the front and moving towards the back.
3. Wrap your hair and allow henna to stay in hair from 3-4 hours.
4. Rinse, shampoo or co-wash the paste out, according to what works best for your hair.

We recommend you add 5% of your whole recipe of our organic aloe vera powder.
Mixing Cassia Obovata for golden tones:

 -Mix powder with warm or hot water and let sit for 3-4 hours. Make sure your mixture is like pancake batter or as desired. -Apply the cassia paste onto clean hair that is either damp or dry. Apply mixture in layers starting from the back and moving forward. -Wrap your hair and leave on for at least 3-4 hours. -Rinse or wash paste out.

Mixing Cassia Obovata and Henna for marigold blond to strawberry blond tones:

-Mix powders together at a proportion of 25% henna and 75% cassia of total powder needed for your hair. -Add warm to hot water and let sit for 3-4 hours. Make sure your mixture is like pancake batter or as desired. -Apply the paste onto clean hair that is either damp or dry. Apply mixture in layers starting from the back and moving forward. -Wrap your hair and leave on for at least 3-4 hours. -Rinse or wash paste out.

Mixing Cassia Obovata and Henna for copper tones:

-Mix powders together at a proportion of 50% henna and 50% cassia of total powder needed for your hair. -Add warm to hot water (or strong chamomile tea, its liquid) and let sit for 3-4 hours. Make sure your mixture is like pancake batter or as desired. -Apply the paste onto clean hair that is either damp or dry. Apply mixture in layers starting from the back and moving forward. -Wrap your hair and leave on for at least 3-4 hours. -Rinse or wash paste out.
